This is not “true crime”; there’s no mystery here
This podcast is fine as a slice-of-life observation, but there is no mystery, no crime. It is clear very early on that “Ritchie” is not actually a serial killer, but is punking Alan and the listeners of his show. So why spend so much time on him? In addition, Alan isn’t a very sympathetic protagonist; he seems like a self-absorbed jerk. This might’ve been a decent podcast if it had been 3 episodes, and not dragggggggged out.”

Listened to the first two episodes on wondery plus. This story is so twisted even by Wondery standards.

But I can’t hear well what people are saying on the tapes. Frustrating.
