Slipping lately
The only political podcasts I choose to listen to are bipartisan so that I can get a balanced view of the issues through respectful discussion. It may be a fruitless pursuit - but I’m looking for hope. This used to be that kind of podcast, but it has slipped. I’ve heard Michelle say recently that she sees Republicans as a force of evil, and how dark the days were after certain recent elections. Even if she feels that way, I feel that should be articulated differently. A lot of violence has taken place over the past 4-5 years (and more) by people who see the other side as evil - a supposed bipartisan podcast should not further that thinking. The worst discussions in recent months are the serious entertaining of an amicable national divorce as seemingly our only hope. I feel strongly against this view and am saddened to hear it discussed more than once. I’ll still listen with the hope that a new presidential administration will also bring new rhetoric. We’ll see how things go.

I will rate this five stars for now, but come on. A half hour is not enough. Go the full hour. Plus, with all due respect, the Times should have the power to put all the opinion writers into the ring. Dowd v. Douthat. Krugman v. Stephens. Collins v. Weiss. Come on!
