Not many people like to do chores, my least favorite is washing dishes. The Art angle is like a robotic wet vacuum cleaner, I get to pick up all the dirt without the allergies. Thank you Art Angle, for cleaning up my art house.

I read Bosker’s book to get a bit of insight into the high end of the art business. Now that I have, I want to eat lots of rat poison.

The Art Angle is one of my top favorite artworld podcasts. It’s a great blend of critical commentary and lighter-side musings; as the tagline accurately says “Where the art world meets the real world.” Ben Davis is one my favorite writers and he and his co-hosts have a great conversational...Read full review »

Thank you for the pod about art that brings you joy. Interesting and uplifting. Made me think of the joy of Francesca DiMattio teapots, maybe circa 2000 or so ?? Sometimes I LOL when I see them, in a joyful way.

Always well done, perfect length, entertaining and informative- and the 12/28 episode is especially enjoyable. happy New Year.

Where’s the discussion about best shows of the year? Best new artists? So much irrelevant meandering about boots, neighborhoods, where people are living after the pandemic. Really?? Isn’t this is a show about art? Not just about what’s selling?

Ben, Kate, and Eileen’s discussions are informative and fun.

I remember the first time I heard Ben Davis give a lecture (online, not in person); I was an immediate convert. He feels like more of a philosopher than an art critic and has a rare combination of intelligence and interests, with a lot of overall charm on top. I was excited to find this podcast...Read full review »

Great, candid interview/conversation with Helen Molesworth and Taylor Dafoe. Had to stop what I was doing and fully listen. Looking forward to the release of Open Question.

I listened to the interview with Shepard Fairy and thought it was excellent. One of the best art talks I’ve heard in a long time. I also listened to the talk with Abramovic, although a good interview I had already been saturated with information about her previously.

Whenever any podcast has a contributor using the phrase “post-pandemic” it’s safe to assume their ignorance is so profound that you have nothing to learn from them, and the only sensible option is to turn the podcast off. This is one such podcast.

Thank you for making this show. Perhaps what I appreciate most is the time and space you allow for guests to speak.

Tuned in hoping for an interesting podcast, the first words I hear are an advertisement for Cartier. A little too highbrow for my taste

I really want to commend the Art Angle team for their very respectfully done episode with Rahsaan Thomas of Ear Hustle fame, who recently curated an online exhibition of work by artists in San Quentin and who is currently incarcerated himself. Well paced. Full of accessible examples to engage listeners at all levels. Super timely material, as well as more historical or granular topics on the art world and art history. Excellent material for art history students at the beginning and more advanced levels.

Ben Davis did an excellent job analyzing the history of the Columbus monuments and revealing what is the problem with all the monuments glorifying historical moments and their political motivation. And I like his solution!

Your analysis is childish at best there is literally 0 substance and all fluff. One learns nothing from your podcasts. I really enjoy the mix of experts that they have found to comment on the art world. I feel like all the other attempts at art-themed podcasts were either too broad—art history 101–or too esoteric—long, unedited rambling conversations between pros. Here’s one that feels relevant, even urgent, as it examines and contextualizes what’s happening in the gallery, museum, and auction...Read full review »
