These two know how to do a podcast right! So much awesome info and zero foul language. Keep the others away and use these guys more please!

just did hear the newest one including a little gem about a backup tight end... Hey Randy: your examples will never bore the listeners to tears :) Really love both of you guys, please keep talking - Greetings from Berlin, Germany

Was awesome till they both said the “F” word.. not impressed. My grandson now has a new word in his vocabulary, thanks..

Listened to the most recent show with Robert, Nate and Dane, it was interesting and informative. However, I have to disagree with your assessment of Maye and Williams. I think they will be mediocre at best and William has “bust” written all over him. We will see what things look like in 2-3...Read full review »

Entertaining show but they definitely have teams they like and teams and players they don’t. They can’t help themselves but to crack on those teams time and again. Which, if you’re a fan of those teams or players gets old fast. Especially Mays.

I have great respect for the Athletic and was looking forward to the podcast. Unfortunately I found this low energy, monotone and not very enlightening Bill49er

Great show. I’ve learned so much about Football and team building over the last 2 years of listening to this show. Highly recommend!

Robert and Nate are the best! Can’t ask for a more nuanced but enjoyable deep dive into everything nfl!

These guys use A LOT of words to say VERY little. I just listened for thirty minutes and the pacing was essentially that of a snail. Yall need an editor or a Producer or something because this aint it

As a suffering Carolina fan with no first rounder, I would kill for first round mocks to include juuuust 1 more pick so we could see what of the remaining wr you see as best fit. Thanks!!!

Football GM is fantastic. Wish I could listen to the other shows but Mays has the high pitched voice of a 12 year old boy and his attitude and knowledge aren’t that far from a 12 year old either. Sorry man you are just not made for podcasting.

Appreciate your knowledge the things you bring to the show and your positive attitude, even when being critical, which I know you need to be but I watch sports for entertainment you and the show give me that. thank you!

The best NFL podcast going. Intelligent, thoughtful analysis is the baseline for this show. The show frequently throws in detailed schematic analysis, good interviews, and behind the scenes info that elevate it further. Honestly, my biggest problem with it is that I like it so much I feel am...Read full review »

I always look forward to their unique, thoughtful & refreshing takes & breakdowns. However Chase Daniels…yuck. Cannot listen to his unoriginal regurgitated blather.

I stumbled on The Athletic Football show in the off-season of 2023. Robert and Nate are fantastic and provide really great insights to the game and dig a little deeper and I’ve been able to learn a lot as an Australian trying to follow the best sport in the world. The football GM show is...Read full review »

Mays and Tice provide detailed NFL analysis in an approachable format. They leave no stone unturned in their coverage, diving deep into everything from analytics and play-calling to overarching narratives. I learn something new every week and love the friendly banter. Keep up the good work, guys!

Robert and Nate have a passion for football that is both charming and infectious. Add to that their an understanding of the game that rises far above the average schlock makes this my favorite pod to listen to now. I love football specifically and have coached for a long time, so I know that my...Read full review »

Absolutely brilliant show, love the depth of knowledge provided, some of the subject matter gets complicated. Definitely what I need on my NFL journey with being fairly new to the game. The great: The GM show. Longtime NFL reporter moderates longtime GM. Lots to learn from them. The good: Chase Daniel's show. Insight from a recently retired NFL player who made his rounds in the league. The ugly: Robert Mays and Nate Tice. Mays is an unentertaining talking database of DVOA,...Read full review »

Hey! Love the show. I dropped watching football a few years ago, and this pod has helped me get back into the sport. That said, the Super Bowl coverage has been obviously KC heavy, a more balanced approach would be appropriated. Thanks!

First off I’ll give credit for the variety of shows. Football GM is excellent, as are Prospects to Pro’s. Chase Daniel’s addition has been superb for insight. Now the downside. Robert Mays has steadily become unbearable, more than ever this season . His prejudice (& Nate Tice’s) towards...Read full review »

This podcast has helped me to learn more about football than any other podcast I listen to. It has professionals that used to work in football and that helps with the credibility and just teaching the game to others!

I listen to every episode of PFF, PFT, ATN, GMFB and the Athletic football show stands out above the rest. i must say, i miss the old days when everyday i would load up Robert and Nate just chopping it up. the Football GM podcast is really excellent as well i love those old dudes haha

I just want to listen to prospects to pros. I know Nate does great work outside of that but I’m not interested. I don’t understand why Dane can’t have his own feed.

Dear Nate & Robert, Huge fan! Confession: I am a college football fan first and foremost (Go Huskers) and a diehard Chiefs fan since the Grbac/Green/Cassel days of my youth…when we sucked so, Robert, it may get better? 🤷🏼‍♂️ My question. Of all the shows on the feed, the Sunday night recap shows are a good listen, the weekend ahead previews are good too, but I don’t care much for the rest. I’ve learned more in half of a season listening to Mays and Tice than I had in 25 years of television football broadcasts. Robert and Nate feel like they’ve been a couple of big brothers since Robert pandered to my Seahawk-loving self saying he’d take DK Metcalf over Nick Bosa. As a college journalist, these two are the blueprint for making intricate concepts accessible.

It bums me out we no longer have a show with Mays and Barnwell. Mays completely bulldozes Tice on every subject and even if Tice disagrees he eventually capitulates. Didn’t used to be like that. Is the swearing really necessary? Also, Nate and Rob agree too much. Also Rob needs to learn not to look at the YouTube comments. The guy is far too sensitive. Robert is also too afraid to be wrong and not be taken seriously to give any strong opinions.

Great in depth, detailed analysis of the game for the game’s sake.
