If you’re interested in the Bible, early Christianity, the historical Jesus, or the early Christian church this is a must-listen. The scholarship of Dr. Ehrman is unparalleled and refreshing. He has a way of connecting the dots between history and theology and theological developments In the...Read full review »

I would enjoy this podcast more if less time was spent directing listeners to the blog. I listen to podcasts while I’m working and don’t have the time to sit down and read lengthy blog posts... The topics presented are fascinating, but I listen to podcasts for the sake of being able to...Read full review »

This is a fascinating, interesting, and informative blog turned podcast. I don’t have the time I’d like to read much of the actual blog posts, but it’s a happy medium. I found Bart Ehrman blog through , The History in the Bible Podcast > Bart Ehrman Podcast > Blog. Thanks!

Dr. Ehrman is a great writer (I have read nine of his books), a great teacher, and a great blogger. He is also very fair in presenting all sides of an argument. The podcast is based on readings from the blog and, as I am a member, often sends me back to continue the thread. Thanh you, Dr....Read full review »

If you want evidence to be included in your thinking and discussions about Jesus and early Christianity, you will probably enjoy this podcast. You may agree or disagree with the arguments and conclusions, but the conversation is on the level of evidence and method rather than promoting a...Read full review »

As a textual critic Dr Ehrman is a among the very best. However, his grasp of historical methods and process is questionable to say the least. This leads him to some strange conclusions regarding New Testament characters. It must not be easy being an atheist bible scholar, perhaps that is why...Read full review »

Best podcast EVER. I have learned to appreciate Christianity SO much. Coming from a very narrow background I never got to appreciate the history of how it developed until I discovered Dr. Ehrman’s work. And props to John for making it happen!

The announcer is TERRIBLE! I feel like someone is reading a scripted children’s book. Every word is carefully & annoyingly pronounced. A 20 minute Podcast feels like hours! Everything is so monotone and dull. The topics are fairly informative. When comparing this podcast to other religious...Read full review »

Please continue... this podcast was the reason I joined the blog. I promote, “share” to about 3-10 friends a week. This brought me to the blog which I am of course a member!! (PS: even after reading all of Bart’s books and watching his YouTube talks, I still didn’t look at the blog u til I...Read full review »

I enjoy gaining insight from this podcast but the narrator’s song-song reading is incredibly annoying. Please, even out your tone.

I recently subscribed to Erhman blog but could not read the posts regularly. With this podcast I can simply listen to the posts while I’m commuting or doing household chores etc. Thank you so much.

Fantastic reading of Bart’s blog. I am a fan and it made me sign up for the blog and help the charity work and obviously increase my knowledge of the New Testament.
