As a cisgender political animal movie buff...
this podcast is great The flow is usually consistent but when its not the detours are always enjoyable. The background on the movies always offers great insight even on movies I thought I knew a lot about The humor is key and you dont have to be a woke peta bread leftist to appreciate it as the backbone of the entire program sre the big brains and hot takes of the hosts. My girlfriend plays this in the background and i tangentially would tune in when my ear caught the mention of an actor or directress i liked. It was not until i listened to the entire episode of "500 days of summer" while my girlfriend slept that I realized i grew up as a dude who thought that I knew about movies and what made them great. The bechdel cast rightfully tore the nostalgia from my brain about that movie and helped me realize it aint that great and ill be thankful for them helping me lighten my dvd wall. Be well you scrappy masters degree in screen writing having super people you.Read full review »
