I find the pace quite slow and it’s not really pitched to educate.

Thanks for your efforts in making this podcast up and running. Excellent choice of topics, guests and, very good presenters. Keep it up folks!

Too slow. Different speakers at different volumes. Too long introductions. So unprofessional

The BMJ used to be a reputable medical journal. It has been sad to see it’s decline over the past 10 to 15 years. Likewise the podcast in the past has been intellectually strong. Sadly it is showing the same lack of rigour as the journal. The latest episode was awful. Lots of people trying...Read full review »

Deep breath in: Please change presenters for some who have a bit of experience / knowledge and will not burst into tears every 5 mins. Topics good - I listen for the interviewed experts, not for the tedious chitchat and reflections after. Evidence based medicine: Carl great.

Fabulous podcast for evidence geeks but also regular folks...Dissects topical issues and discusses key trends in EBM. Presenters are really nicely balanced. Worth listening to just for Carl’s rants”. A must for anyone interested in EBM.

Some of the podcast episodes don’t strongly appeal to me, perhaps because I’m not a doctor, but I still think the episodes are of great quality and cover important topics. I particularly enjoy the Talk Evidence series.

Have loved your podcast for many years . Never as up to datewith my listening as I’d like . Good to hear reasonable professionals discussing research, clinical pathways and all the other things. Not always agreeing but with good humour passion and clarity expressing their opinions on professional...Read full review »

Sound quality is often awful. Main interviewer is not a natural and I fear will never be particularly good. Podcasts could be an excellent part of BMJ’s output. They have great guests and interesting topics but this makes their failings even more infuriating as you see such a wasted opportunity.

Please stop thanking the contributors every time they speak - so boring and slows down the discussion - have you ever listened to other podcasts?

Love the discussions with the authors

The podcast is informative, addressing health policy, clinical and health services topics. Would it be possible to improve the sound quality to enhance the listening experience?

The topics and guests are great, but the audio quality isn't. I listen to a lot of podcasts/Audiobooks, especially when driving. This one often has very different audio levels/audibility between host (low volume) and guest (high volume and clear). I have to adjust volume for each ( as I...Read full review »

This is an extremely well done discussion. I was expecting another BMJ teardown of the US with a liberal-socialist bias, but got a well-reasoned, thoughtful presentation by an extremely brigt man. Dr. Ioannidis is a wonder.

A decent podcast for doctors, although with a focus on discussion of research and political issues (affecting the UK) at the expense of educational pieces. Some casts in this feed are excellent. Others are low-quality recordings, uploaded in full, of length panel discussions. Decent, but hard to...Read full review »

This is a rather annoying podcast to listen to. It is presented as a series of questions and the interviewer does not follow up at all. It's like listening to people taking a questionnaire. Rather read the actual research, unless you are particularly lazy.Read full review »
