Best interviews by kind people

What a find! I stumbled on this podcast when I went searching for interviews with Mike Flanagan and wow…such thoughtful questions and one of the best interview podcasts out there in the horror universe.

Not digging the weird “Morning ZOO!” vibe

I’m a big fan of horror, and consequently of most horror themed podcasts, but I am not a fan of this weirdly out of place vibe.the whole thing is packaged with this out of place rock radio “wacky” morning DJ vibe, or like sports talk radio. From the opening seconds when you are blasted with booming bass, electric guitar, rock radio style intro, to the main host using that fake, bombastic, “radio guy” voice that is typically reserved for talk radio, game shows, and used car commercials, and throwing in very rehearsed sounding wacky “banter” the entire thing has this very fake, manufactured “SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!” plastic feel to it that I’m not digging at all. It doesn’t feel at all like a horror podcast. It feels like a bunch of people who aren’t into horror, talking about it extremely superficially, because they are getting paid to by Bloody Disgusting, and all wishing they were Joe Rogan …Meh

Hosts with the Most

I was lucky enough to meet the Boo Crew at the horror convention Midsummer Scream and I just have to emphasize how incredibly friendly they were - just as you would imagine from listening to their excellent and entertaining podcast. It feels good knowing there are such friendly, thoughtful, and welcoming voices in the horror community. Thanks Boo Crew, keep doing you!
