“My title — "Fast food for the mind" — is meant as a simple description and as a compliment. Bookmonger host John J. Miller, author and journalist, has a gift for introducing a large topic quickly by asking his guest simple questions (for example, "Who is H.L. Mencken? When did he live? Why is he important?"); but after establishing the outlines of the topic he is always able to penetrate a little deeper.
