Re: Rush Limbaugh
I’m not a fan of Rush Limbaugh’s political beliefs at all, but this was a real opportunity to reach out to the other side squandered. Charlemagne often mentions that Black people aren’t monoliths and the concept applies here. Char, Angela, and Envy sort of gang on Rush as though he represents all of white America and come off unnecessarily confrontational in the process. I don’t know what this interview accomplished it it had the opportunity to do something really unique. I don’t know how, but Envy, Angela, and Charlemagne— to a lesser extent— somehow managed to accomplish the impossible task of making Rush Limbaugh seem sympathetic.
