Description
Key Points The need to control is always rooted in fear. The thing you fear the most is often what you try to control the most. The thing you try to control the most will reveal where you trust God the least. The need to control can be connected to past trauma, an event where you felt out of control.  Lack of trust can stem from someone breaking trust when you should have been able to trust them. This leads to future fears which leads to control. Control places unnecessary burdens on those around you. There is no freedom or peace in the midst of control. The solution to remove control is to surrender and trust. (God) If we can trust God with our salvation, then we should be able to trust Him in our daily living. Discussion How does control creep into your life? What does it look like? How does control effect those around you? What is your greatest fear? …this will lead you to trace your control. Discuss. Breakdown Proverbs 3:1-8. How can this lead to freedom from control?
