You’re listening to Episode 13 of The Business Family. On today’s episode we chat with Jasmine and Dr. Mike Sassack of Family Tree Holistic Health.
As soon as they got married, Mike jumped into full-time schooling to become an acupuncturist with dreams of opening his own practice. After graduation, Jasmine and Mike bought a house in which they could have an office. In the midst of this all, they licensed for foster care and started taking in children who needed a safe home and family. Since these early days, the Sassacks have had 3 different office locations, learned how to market effectively to get people in the door (hello, Groupon!) and have grown a thriving practice complete with employees, a business partner and clients who love them!
And if that weren’t enough, they have also had 20 children be a part of their home through foster care, given birth to 2 children, and adopted 4. This is an incredible story and a beautiful testament to always living into your values. -
12: Intentionally Expanding Your Network in Business
Mike talks about who to expand your network as a business owner in an intentional way and how Creative Club Chicago has been key in the growth of our businesses.

Validating and Inspiring
Kristin and Mike is a great job of showing the ups and downs and ins and outs of running business while also raising a family. Love the real life stories and different perspectives and opinions that are presented here in their podcast but above all it feels so validating to hear other people along this crazy journey too! I’m a full time entrepreneur and single foster mom so there’s not much more room in life. These podcasts make it feel like your getting to know so many others and their journeys even though their lives and businesses are all different. Also as a bonus you’ll clean some business tips and tricks along the way.
Relatable & enjoyable entertainment!
I’ve only just started listening but really enjoying this podcast so far. As a mother to young children who works a full time job and has a side hustle, the content really speaks to me. Mike & Kristin are great hosts who have me laughing! Can’t wait to listen to more!
