It’s no secret that cannabis has attracted a lot of attention from politicians looking for a career change… and it begs a lot of questions. Is it profit-driven? Truly causing a change of hearts? Does it matter which political party the politician comes from? What about money for lobbying or activism? Fun Fact… this might also be the first time our hosts disagree on a topic and dive into the nuances of their shared and not so shared viewpoints. This is definitely a “can’t miss” episode.

Media and Journalism are NOT the same thing… Media is traditionally full of fluff articles, good news, and clickbait. Journalism is usually the thing that acts as the fourth branch of the government: An institution that is geared toward digging to find the truth in all things and acting as a check or balance against the industry doing bad. In cannabis we have a whole lot of media, and very little journalism… and we think this is a big reason why we have so much b******t in the cannabis...

Join us as we dig in on some interesting tidbits about the foundations of cannabis and what those foundations really mean for the recent wave of M&A activity surrounding the space. Hint… it’s mostly smoke and mirrors to distract from their messy operations, but investors don’t seem to pay attention to that. Until I did this interview, I was afraid of being pulled over by the police. I used to joke that I would fail a sobriety test even if I was sober because cops scare me that much. When I was young, I would wear the smell of a fresh smoked bowl with pride. Although times have changed (did I mention cannabis DUI's became a thing this year?), I was afraid of being pulled over by the cops lest I be tired and appear high when I'm not. I USED to be afraid, but not any longer thanks to the script!
