Description
D.I. Snaith is on the verge of being thrown off the case, but true to form, when the going gets tough the Snaith gets going. He tracks down the killer of course, but in his heart he maybe wishes he hadn't.
A paradigm shift in Snaith's thinking blows the case apart, simultaneously exposing cynical conspiracies, religious opportunism, and one of the many flaws at the heart of human nature.
