“I keep this podcast on the back burner for the occasional interesting topic.
But the episode on Joe Rogan (Bill Burr was in it also) started off on the wrong foot, they sounded very condescending, and pretending to have sympathy for his suffering from his childhood trauma but they went directly into Joe’s bad takes on religion. When I first saw the episode in my queue I thought, “really this is what you want to talk about?” But I gave it a try and y’all totally missed the mark (and I listened to the whole episode). So much so that it prompted me to write this review. Joe Rogan’s experience is the experience of many other people who have left the Church and if they are listening to this podcast I don’t think they were given anything other than, Well they are immature in faith because they were probably hurt by the Church. Ok so what. If you listen to Joe Rogan you probably already know that. If you don’t listen to him, your probably thinking, why should I care about Joe Rogan’s take. Anyways, I think this episode should have been shelved or approach differently. Should have been pastoral out the gate.
Pointless. Missed the mark.”
