My new obsession
I recently discovered this podcast through the CheerLife app and I was hesitant to listen because I’ve never really enjoyed podcasts. I usually think they’re boring. But omg, I love it and I’m hooked! I’ve kind of jumped around season 2 to hear people I wanted to but I have enjoyed every one! As a newer cheer mom (only 2 years in for a level one athlete) I am still learning the ropes and getting excited for the sport. Hearing a cheerleader’s perspective and a mom and a choreographer and a gym owner. Every perspective is so unique and interesting and I can’t wait to hear more.
Varsity/Disney/NCA/Summit
Over the last 6 seasons I’ve been watching/ living this sport evolve. I have been reconsidering the sport for my daughter because of the handling of the growth. It truly has turned into a monster money grab. Your podcast was eye opening to everyone’s experience, our third summit; the costs of everything are more than doubling every season.
I was surprised at Disney that they were unable to safely run the event, no screening at the gates, over crowding, mob scene this previous summit. I was glad to hear our gym will not participate in summit unless it’s a paid bid this season. Your interviews with athletes and people in the industry a great to listen to. Great information on the sport! Thank u

I really like the content but find it hard to listen to Marisol. She says "um" a lot. I wish she would speak clearer. I find myself forwarding because I just cant listen to her speak that long.
