Interesting Commentary with a ‘Caveat’
Bravo to the screenwriter and production team for spending some time discussing how they blended historical events with the licences they took to effectively execute the plot of each episode. I wished they would have also commented on the epidemiological data we now have about the health and environment consequences of Chernobyl’s (really Pripyat’s) Disaster as well as the historical and scientific sources they used to develop their project. Maybe because of my science background, love for history, and great appreciation for HBO’s Chernobyl miniseries itself but let’s remember that the show is a DOCUDRAMA (Not a DOCUMENTARY ‘a la Ken Burns’) so that this interesting production won’t be discredited as “sensationalistic stunt”. I would hate to see that happen!

A beautifully executed companion to the series. The show will make you want to listen to the podcast and the podcast will make you want to watch the show.
