Unique, compelling & insightful

This non-recap podcast analyzes GoT in the context of real-world politics, culture, history. The focus is true analysis, succinct & compelling. Uniquely great GoT podcast.

The hosts are intelligent, eloquent, & steeped in both GoT & universal knowledge. They include the National Security writer for the Guardian.

Best Game of Thrones podcast

I liked when Laura Hudson wrote about Game of Thrones for Wired and talked about it on the Gamelife podcast. Her cohost, Spencer Ackerman, adds a security or strategic perspective you won't find in most other Game of Thrones podcasts. I've listened to other podcasts about the show, and this is the best one for a wide range or audiences. It's not trying to spoil things. There is some speculation because that is part of the fun when talking to friends (or hearing two friends talk about it). They don't waste a lot of time recapping. I highly recommend this to anyone.

More than a recap show

The Guardian's GoT show has become a must listen for me as soon as it loads. Lauren Hudson and Spencer Ackerman are both book readers who discuss GoT and relate the real world to it. Worth subscribing to if you want serious, in depth discussion. Well done.
