This was in turns creepy, touching, mysterious, funny, and magical. I really really like the characters that are clearly full human beings on their own, who I can see having lives beyond the curtains. The world of the city feels full of characters and life. I especially like the layering of the...Read full review »

What a phenomenal story with a great mixture of an intriguing story and some comedy. I didn't really have expectations, I was sitting here on my computer and just randomly picked one I hadn't heard yet. Needless to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Great story and great acting. Thoroughly enjoyed this story. The voice actors, the editing and the storyline made for a fantastic listen. I felt like I was in Mustavia during each episode and had goosebumps listening to the ending. Thank you for this fantastic series!

Really great so far, 4 episodes in and I can’t wait to see where it goes. Production values are really good and the two voice actors are really talented playing such a range while making the central pair feel real. Structure of the interludes between eps is really interesting too, have a feeling...Read full review »

This a great short radio play type podcast series. Really enjoyed this on all accounts from story line to voice actors to the great setting. A fictional city with real world ties works so well you can almost smell the scene. Would love a follow up or additional content from Matthew Capodicasa.

Fun
This was a fun little series, a beautiful sort of visual dip into this unique place through the stories of these two characters. I personally quite enjoyed the format and pacing. I hope I can see one of Capodicasa's plays on a stage one day.Read full review »

Lovely to see one of Matthew’s plays adapted in this format, and it shows how talented a playwright he is! The voice actresses and fantastic and the story well done. I wish I could see the stage production and see how it transformed into this, but it works wonderfully in an audio format! Well done!

This is one of the most strangely beautiful things I’ve listened to. The acting is absolutely fantastic and the writing is captivating. Dialogue is handled in a way that is extremely interesting and without that feeling of fakeness the comes up a lot in written works. The conversations feel...Read full review »

A deep and interesting story which endeavors to examine ancient themes through a contemporary lens. An acting tour de force coupled with brilliant writing results in an experience that is well worth the time to listen.

Binge listening to the episodes. The story is riveting and the characters are weird.

I haven’t ever really listened to fictional works like this before; but, when I heard Matthew released this I really wanted to check it out. It’s great! I’m hooked already and wish there was more! I’ll have to wait patiently. Great work Matthew, also the actresses are incredible too. Keep it up!

I don’t really know what to say. It’s good. It’s really good. It’s clever, it’s emotional, it’s funny, it’s smart, it’s creative. I have always wanted to see/read/hear a Capodicasa play after hearing such great things about them and this exceeds my high expectations. Well done cast and crew and...Read full review »

After listening to many hours of Matty Capps (Mr. Capodicasa) on the Glass Cannon Network, I knew I had to watch/listen to one of his plays. Being located many thousands of miles from New York, I figured there would be a slim chance of this ever happening, so I was absolutely thrilled when I...Read full review »

The City in the City in the City grabs you right away with its fun premise (unexpected travel companions) and the great voice acting by the two leads (who cover a wide variety of characters). Very entertaining and well done!

This is such a cleverly written story. I’m already waiting with baited breath for the next episode. It’s wonderful to finally have access to one of Matthew’s stories. And the title is cool too. How long did it take to name it? 😉

The first two episodes of this radio play are excellent. The story is already phenomenal, unraveling more and more clues about the characters (Tess and Laura, played wonderfully by Eboni Booth and Mary Cavett), their past, and their budding relationship with one another. I am really loving this radio play. The tone reminds me of Catch-22...funny on the surface, but with deep emotion underneath. The story is really engaging and interesting, great voice acting by the two leads. I can’t wait to hear the rest!
