SPOILER Alert
Throughout the 8 episodes the sense of objective journalism seems to be missing. Beginning with “Fred did it” just to end with “maybe everyone’s memory is distorted and Fred is innocent.” Amy inserted herself into these peoples lives just to say Fred is (most likely) innocent based on “evidence” - “story has stayed the same” (cops learn to do that) “the evidence points this way” (evidence cops could have tampered with). I stuck through this monotone podcast hoping there’d be closure for some people and instead ended with Amy having people questioning themselves.

More reviews of The Coldest Case In Laramie
I’ve listened to a couple of these episodes, and the audio quality is like nails on a chalkboard. I guess they’re going for some kind of affect, but I don’t think that I can tolerate the tinny quality. Stop the effects or get better quality microphones.

I’m a die hard true crime podcast listener, and was excited to see this podcast come up in my feed as I was born and raised in Laramie. The narrative of Laramie in the trailer was unfamiliar and felt really off-base but I guess that’s the authors perspective? I still plan to listen.
