“Halfway through the book, I gave it 5 stars. After finishing it, I want to give it two (but ended up giving it three). I have to review it as two stories. The first half is GREAT. A few glaring plot holes, but the action made up for them and it was enjoyable. The second half was... bad. Still had some good scenes that moved along, but the plot holes I mentioned earlier continued to pile up to the point where the story became a bunch of scenes haphazardly put together. The story had epic promise ("epic" as in C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, etc) but the plot in the second half... I could give many examples but I don't want to give any spoilers if you decide to listen to it. It is obvious the author put alot of work into the story and I never want to be the one that trashes another's labor of love, but the story's ending just didn't live up to its promise. A shame, really, because it did have a great premise.”

“Great plot... But how long does it take for the characters to make a decision?!?! seems like the author is just filling space with pointless conversation between people and makes it a tough, boring listen. But if you can get past that, good story.”
