“1/5/2022: I appreciate the release of the episode of the full audiobook about reading the Bible. This little book was encouraging, enlightening, and inspiring. Thanks again to the wonderful folks at crossway!
Last review at end of 2021: I’ve been tuned in to the Crossway Podcast for over 2 years now, and the Lord has used the content in many shows to deeply move my heart and to tweak my thinking of God’s ways. Further, because I am rather new to reformed thinking, I have learned and continue to comprehend the tenants of reformed theology and daily applications of reformed thinking partly through taking in the content of this show. The Lord has often used this podcast to stir my heart and mind to better understand the tenderness of Christ, the sovereignty/providence of God, the weightiness of lament, the foundation of the sufficiency and inerrancy of the Bible, and more about the depth, wonder, and beauty of Christ’s work on the cross. I also enjoyed the interview and book intro with Carl Truman, and I was enlightened by the thoughts of the author who recently wrote the breadmaking book. However, though I’ve gained such enlightening knowledge and many morsels for daily application from the show, I am continually blessed by Matt’s thoughtful, insightful questions of each author whom he interviews. By intently listening to each show, I can easily see that Matt reads the author’s work intently and is fully prepared for each show. Further, it seems to me that Matt has a kind-hearted demeanor which shines forth in the way he communicates with his interviewees. This show’s content and effectiveness would not exist without.Matt’s deep respect and insight into his guests and his evident Christ-centered humility. I am deeply grateful to the guest authors, Matt, and the whole of the Crossway podcast team for ppresenting a show with such solid, weighty, Christ-centered content. Praise the name of Jesus forever more!”
