So valuable!!
Thank you so much for putting this podcast out there!! This is so helpful at this time. As a disciple in the ICOC since 1989 this podcast and the spacemakers really give me hope for my kids “kingdom kids” in finding a healthy faith. We are in process of exiting church which is super challenging for so many reasons. Thank you 🙏🏼
Balanced Portrayal
This pod cast invites listeners to step outside the box of church culture and confront how an obsession with certainty can lead many well meaning Christians astray. I’m thankful for the opportunity to listen, reflect, forgive myself and others, and continue the journey towards healing as I crumple papers of my own. Thank you Austin for your bold and sensitive critique of the types of toxicity that can exist in church organizations. I pray that listeners will be inspired to create healthy places of worship as they lean into curiosity, acceptance, and faith. Keep up the great work!
Validating
This is the podcast that allowed me to realize that I am not crazy in thinking that my church organization lead me to very unhealthy thinking about God and how I should live my life. Austin gives people the space they need to share their stories and the frameworks that have shattered in their belief systems which have shown them a more free life. If you’ve left a high demand church, this is for you. It will open doors that have been chained shut in your thought process. I have since become a hopeful agnostic and feel safe listening to this podcast and likewise if I still had a faith, I would feel like there was hope for healthy relationships and churches. Thank you Austin and all those who have come on this show to offer your morsels of comfort and wisdom.
