Jamie Donaldson and other outspoken Tour pros

Description
Alistair Bruce-Ball steps in for Andrew Cotter who is still out of action with that pesky flu. European Tour and Ryder Cup player Jamie Donaldson is our studio guest this week. He’s also out of action at the moment - with a wrist injury - but offers plenty of punchy analysis on the week’s big talking points. How did one of the worst putters on the PGA Tour - ranked 218 out of 221 - hold off the world’s best players to win the Honda Classic? Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of Keith Mitchell, you’re not alone. US TV commentators were calling him ‘Kevin’ and one newspaper referred to him as ‘The No Name Champion’. But the 27-year-old – who now heads to Augusta next month – certainly earned the respect of Rickie Fowler and Brooks Koepka for holding it together down the stretch. Fowler and Koepka, incidentally, are among a number of leading players fighting other battles. They are deeply unhappy about the USGA’s lack of communication around golf’s new rules and haven’t been shy in letting their feelings known. Elsewhere, make sure you check out Anne van Dam’s golf swing on social media, JD explains the difference between ‘melting’ and ‘sclaffing’ when it comes to ball striking and, in recognition of ABB’s debut on the pod, we have unapologetically stolen Sutton Death from 606 and given it a rebrand: 'Hal Sutton Death'.
