75: A Tour de France ramble
Listen now
Description
With the Tour of Switzerland finishing at the weekend all eyes are now on the Tour de France, which starts in Brussels a week on Saturday. The Colombian prodigy Egan Bernal beat Rohan Dennis in Switzerland, but was his performance sufficiently convincing to make him the favourite for a Tour that will be missing so many stars? Lionel Birnie, Daniel Friebe and Richard Moore discuss this and much more as they look ahead to the Grand Départ. Who will lead Team Ineos, the in-form Bernal or the defending champion Geraint Thomas? Will it be the year a Frenchman finally wins? What of the Movistar "trident" of Nairo Quintana, Alejandro Valverde and Mikel Landa? And who will ride "à la Atapuma"?  The Cycling Podcast is supported by Rapha and Science in Sport This episode is sponsored by Beer52 is a craft beer club.
