Intelligent and challenging
Thought provoking interviews in a podcast that approaches a variety of relevant, contemporary subjects from several different angles. I’ve learned so much from this show and there are many episodes that give me food for thought many days and weeks after I listen to them. My only gripe is that Sabrina Tavernise often doesn’t push back at her interview subjects the way Michael Barbaro does. Her episodes are blander and more conservative. But overall, this podcast is one of my major reasons for subscribing to the NYT. It’s journalism as it should be—— firmly researched, thoroughly explored, and utterly honest.

A remarkably in depth daily news podcast that I can listen to as I am commuting, exercising, etc. Love how it straddles the line between formal newspaper reporting and the more informal tone of a podcast. I'm glad the Times is getting on board with new ways of consuming the news.Read full review »
