Enjoyed all episodes.

Ignore the 1 and 2 star ratings and comments. This is an excellent podcast that gives a thorough and clear history of the gangs in Montreal. I highly recommend it.

An excellent and very well done show. Subject matter very interesting including to those from outside Montreal.

The subject matter is very interesting but the narrator sounds like a tenth grader reading a book report. So annoying I couldn’t listen after a while. Hire a voice over artist

Loving the pace, voice and obvious research that went into the production. One thing, the narrator mispronounces Quebec throughout the series. Super annoying.
Kimber75 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 04/10/20
Loved it. I thought I knew some history about this but boy was I wrong. This is a well thought out podcast well researched and well presented.

Yeah I wanted to like this because our city has a fascinating history with the mob, but five minutes into the first episode, some loser cop was talking about gangsters and thought it was important to tell us they were all either fat jerks or scrawny punks, and I just have no patience for that. ACAB.
Tlandmaster5555 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 02/05/20
Really fascinating content. That said, this fellow may be a good writer, but as a narrator is not suited for the job. It’s almost comical how he can make a shootout in the street, or a car bombing sound tedious. This would have been a much more entertaining series if the let someone else tell...Read full review »

I’ve never heard production this bad.

Quite simply, one of the most well-researched and well written podcasts I have had the pleasure to subscribe to. My only regret is that the episodes have run their course. Leaves me wanting more! Excellent work and research and insight from law enforcement and authors who have researched this...Read full review »

Comprehensive, extremely interesting and compelling.

Heard the announcement on gangland and if you love that podcast and/or Crimetown this stuff is amazing! 10/10!

Each episode is like a mini audio book. Very compelling. Detailed research. Does a great job of bringing the real life characters to life just like a good book.

Great and in depth! Can’t wait until the new year for the next episode!

Love the podcast. Great to hear about Canadian content. Keep up the great work.

I am intrigued by the subject matter, but like others have said the episodes need to be longer to hold my interest over a period of weeks. I like interviews with people who were there. Well done, just want more of it to help feel invested in the story.
Smmithhy via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/07/19
This podcast has so much potential! Topic is very interesting and the stories gripping. I would suggest that the narrator reads the stories before recording so he can sound more authoritative. I found the narrator to be very monotone and bland which made it easy for my mind to wander; even though...Read full review »

Good document about Montreal in the 70-80. I can associate with the areas and event. Could be a little less repetitive but it’s good ! Thanks!
JoeCap49 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/04/19
Faciniating story but narration delivery sounds overly scripted especially with the tacky sound effects.
Djkeelo via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/03/19
Couldn’t finish the first episode. Too cheesy.
Cacti 128 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/01/19
Really fascinating subject matter but just sounds like a guy in his basement reading off Wikipedia. Cheesy sound effects and repetition of facts and sound clips makes a 30 minute podcast feel like 60

You need to do Toronto one

It’s a great podcast, but you recycle the same recordings way too much.

Really enjoy this podcast. Informative and entertaining.
Mr.Radio via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/28/19
Really captivating! Just one piece of feedback, you guys recycle the same sound bytes a few too many times sometimes. Gets annoying. Other than that thumbs up!
AndrewNLB88 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/27/19
Great podcast the content is awesome but waiting a week for a 20 min episode with 3 ads always leaves me wanting more in each episode

Beddru 1972 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/25/19
Good content - narrator is a poor reader that prevents the listener from investing in this interesting story. Should’ve kept this dude behind the scenes.
Jesse Germ via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/24/19
As a former crime reporter myself during the same period, but in Vancouver, I think this series is fabulous. It is well researched, informative and great listening.
Greg Middleton via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/24/19
Interesting topic. I was in the area at the time and confirms some rumours that we’re running around. However, there is a problem with repetition in the script. I don’t need the same sentence three or four times. Once is enough.
plwhite via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/22/19
Love the format! Nice, short episodes.
MacRobbT via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/20/19
This has to be one of the best true crime podcasts. Great format, great host very informative with tons of archive and current interviews. Highly recommend.
NathanOniTunes via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/20/19
Badly and lazily produced and features very basic information that can be found with a google search. Not worth your time.

Marie48 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/15/19
Very informative!
clarariga via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/13/19
Fascinating content, but the narrator/host’s delivery is a little undeveloped. He’s reading from a script, which is normal, but the way he reads reminds me of how a grade school student sounds when the teacher asks the student to read a page from their textbook aloud in front of the class.
Dirtyharrythethird via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/12/19
With all the news of outbreaks of what must be called Mafia activity, we so need a show done by folks with the understanding of the history and long term events this is doing that
