It seems like it is a matter of ego. His. He needs to let go of wanting to be the one to be the hero in this story and remember his humanity. So what if someone else solves the case?! It’s about closure and answers for the family. He sounds stubborn and stuck in his ways. It’s about the victim not his reputation. It almost sounds like he is covering something up or for someone. Come on dude! It’s either you’re covering something up or you don’t want anyone questioning you. Again your ego. It should be about the victim and her family.”
