“I feel I have to refrain from messaging Zoe every time I finish listening to an episode of The Deep to tell her just how incredible it was. I couldn’t help myself after the impact The Foster Kid and The Widow episodes had me. I hugged my partner and kids so tight after listening to both episodes....”Read full review »

“I enjoyed this podcast for its real, raw and intense stories. The people who live these lives are strong, warm at heart and inspiring.
It had me crying, laughing, and fully engaged! I finished it within 4 days (if I didn’t have two young kids it would’ve been one full day). Thank you, Zoe, for...”Read full review »

“The deep is just phenomenal. Such raw, amazing stories which have made me cry on more than one occasion. Zoe helps to create a beautiful environment for people to be vulnerable and share themselves with everyone listening.”

“Well done Zoe - love your work and your topics are just awesome - Sandra is my favourite- what a truely amazing human-being. i couldn’t sleep after widow ep- heart breaking and almost too real.
All great topic and people though - keep them coming please! Season 2!!!”
“Totally unprofessional interviewer - feels like just wanting to get the details of other people’s traumas and wear them as a badge of honour for herself. Really hard to listen to.
Could have been amazing, lack of maturity, insight and professionalism from interviewer makes it feel icky.”

“It must take so much out of an interviewer to do these episodes.
Speaking about topics most would think are taboo this podcast has opened up conversations most don’t have.
Thank you Zoe for giving a voice to stories that aren’t spoken of often.”
“I have enjoyed this wonderful thought provoking Podcast from the beginning. Zoe shows so much compassion for her guests and this week’s episode had me in tears. Having lost someone recently I can relate to all the emotions that Jo has and is still experiencing.”
“Wow, I’ve just listened to this podcast and have cried through most of it.
It was so raw and from the heart and listening to the experience of her having to try and resuscitate a loved one is truly heart wrenching.
My deepest sympathies to this lady and her daughter having to go through this...”Read full review »

“This podcast is awesome! Zoe is so gentle but still asks all the questions you really want to know the answers to in these taboo subjects. Giving people space to tell their stories how they want to is so powerful. Please keep doing what you’re doing!”

“Zoe these stories are so interesting I’m becoming obsessed! I honestly would rather listen to your podcasts than watch my fave tv shows right now. You also speak so eloquently and ask fantastic questions, no holds barred. I’m excited to see what’s next!”

“I wanted to like this podcast. I ended up finding it really hard to listen to the host, it’s probably just a matter of taste. For reference I’ve only listened to the episode about ice and thought the guest was great but was stunned at how Zoe continually spoke over him and how demeaning she was....”Read full review »

“Fascinating subjects and I’m really drawn to these podcasts but the ice addict episode was completely ruined by Zoe talking over her friend. Please can you invite him back and just let him talk? :-)There were so many things that I wanted to understand more and he’d start to explain but get...”Read full review »
“Such insightful and considerate interviewing Zoe.
Happened upon your podcast series the other week and have been so moved by all of the stories that have been told. Look forward to the next instalment!”

“Zoe is by far the best interviewer I’ve listened to, she gives the guests space to answer the questions and just as I’m thinking what the next question should be, she asks it! She also makes the guests feel so comfortable and can tell they then open up. 10/10”

“This podcasts is up there with the best!
Zoe does a great job being open minded, making her guests comfortable and asking all the questions I am dying to ask. Sometimes she reads my mind haha
Look forward to the episode every week and find myself binging straight away!”

“I am a grandma of two stillbirth grandsons. My son and his partner raised enough funds through bears of hope charity to buy two cuddlecots. Bears of hope are an amazing charity and cuddlecots are a godsend for parents. Brilliant podcast and brilliantly told story of a not too popular subject....”Read full review »

“I love Zoe’s voice, soothing & enjoyable to listen to. She is genuinely interested in the stories she presents so doesn’t talk over her guests & is so respectful to everyone she interviews. I didn’t know much about Zoe until I came across this podcast but I am a huge girl fan now.”

“So the topics explored on this podcast are fantastic but I find the interviewer quite unprofessional at times. The constant shrieking and ‘oh my god-ing’ are very distracting. I think it would be easier to listen to if Zoe had a more mature interview style and not one of a gossiping teenager.”
“This series is truly remarkable. Zoe has an uncanny ability to pose questions which get the guest to truly open up and share, whilst the listener is hanging on to every word. The story telling is real, the guests are phenomenal and you will be left wanting for more every single week!”
“These podcasts are like turning the page of a great book.... it’s 1am and you have to work on the front line tomorrow but you have to listen until the episode finishes. Well done Zoe and hats of to your brave participants!”
“Such insightful episodes about real people and the depth of their lives! Zoe, you’re a true delight to listen to. Honest and down to earth and asking all the questions we were all definitely thinking!! Xx”

“Stop interrupting guests - it’s so annoying had to switch off because she just wouldn’t stop.
We want to listen to the guests stories... such a shame really wanted to enjoy it but couldn’t.
Some comments made throughout also made me question interviewers intentions ... a reminder it’s not...”Read full review »
