“This seemed like it would be an interesting subject but the story is so rambling and disjointed I’m giving up. The history of the area and local legends could be interesting to give background to the crime, but after the first episode it seems that it’s almost all wild and repetitive speculation and superstitions and very little about the crime or the victims. I stopped listening midway through an episode that is almost entirely the internal narrative of a dead person - what?? This isn’t even pretending to be anything other than a fictional account of a real life tragedy. Gross.”
