Even though this made me sad for the loss your family has suffered, i just want to hug you all. I hope your Mum and her sister and the rest of the family found the answers to free your Uncle. I was unable to go past episode 16 though

Check ya facts and tell it again accurately. Derby to Broome is 220k. So how could he be less the 49km from derby and 80k south of Broome at the same time. Really lost interest when the story teller made it about himself. Have another go at it mate without the rot. I really want to listen to...Read full review »

This is a really good podcast, found it by accident and had no idea about Des. Listened to the whole podcast over one day and found it totally intriguing.

You say you’re not an investigative Journalist but you’ve done the job of one. A great listen.

It’s pretty good but repetitive and drawn out.

Started listening chills ran up my spine. I remember hearing this story before. Gwen Des sister was a friend of my parents. She opened up once about her long lost brother. So sad she never knew the truth.

I came across this podcast, and I am glad I did. You made a beautiful and emotional story out of a very sad thing that happened. Thank you for sharing it with everyone. I am a little confused about the last episode. Is there another one coming about the coroner's report? It seemed to just end...Read full review »

Came across this podcast by accident. The episodes are not long so I listen to it in a day. Sad for the family of des and hope this podcast helps in every way.

The presenter of this podcast waffles quite a bit. His indulgence in interviewing his 10-year-old daughter about her thoughts on missing people is a waste of time and just plain weird.

A very heartbreaking story. Kudos to you for seeing this through for your family.

I feel bad giving it only 4 stars - it’s only because it’s not a slick podcast like Wondery. Keep pursuing this and I hope you find Des or get closure!

The power of the podcast.. the Carr family could get answers just by people sharing and prompting that one person or one piece of information. It may be 40 years but it's never to let to try to ease a families pain. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Read full review »

Such a wonderful podcast about our uncle des. So many years have past and we all hope for an answer. Thanks to the wonderful team that put this podcast together and bringing our uncles disappearance into the spotlight

Personally i don’t think the alien abduction is such a crazy theory.
mccomr via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/25/19
The host held back his familial connection, with no real benefit, under the guise of a twist - I felt a bit tricked. There are way better stories out there, as tragic as Des's story is, its not podcast worthy.Read full review »

It was very enjoyable hearing the story about des, and can’t wait for the next episode. Made me very emotional putting myself in the families shoes. Thanks

Wanted to like this but the latest ep “The Twist” seemed to be exploiting the host 10 year old daughter. I feel for any family that has someone disappear.

An awesome start - the host is really engaging and the tone strikes the perfect balance between telling the story and letting those involved present their accounts. Can’t wait for ep 2

Is it a crime? That’s the mystery. Look forward to hearing how this one unfolds.
