Doesn’t do the stories justice
Given the subject matter, this story really needed a queer Black host. The host clearly means well and cares about justice for the victims, but the storytelling falls flat because he just doesn’t have the necessary perspective to handle the issues of race and sexuality involved here in a way that brings anything especially insightful to the table.

I think it’s pretty crazy to say how important it is for stories like these to be told, and how they’ve been ignored, and then put all episodes save one behind a paywall. It really makes me think that the most important thing ISN’T the story and solving this case.

I’m trying...I’m trying to be open and accepting of a journalist hosting a podcast. But writers like Mr. Fagan should stick to the written word and let professionals host a podcast.
