Well put together, could listen forever. Wish each episode was twice as long. I have listened to all of the episodes at least three times can’t get enough. Jack McCallum is the best !

I love this show.

I love it! There are so many bad reviews because of the ads, but all you have to do is hit fast forward a couple times and you’re listening again! 😀😃😁

This is a great pod. I was concerned because of all the comments about the ads. And yes there are ads, and they are always an inconvenience for the audience. But it wasn’t as distracting for me as it seemed to be for others. Just hit the fast forward a few times and it’s over. I wouldn’t let that...Read full review »

Whomever love Bandelt all must listen to this podcast. Amazing history of the game! I remember watching the Olympic Games in 1992 and 2008. Pure joy.

The Ads are really annoying. They’re like 3 minute long pauses which happens 3-4 times during the podcast. On the other hand the podcast is engaging and very interesting to listen to!

Amazing show, man!

Really enjoyed the pod, thanks for the memories! I was at the University of Washington in Seattle during summer school and I would rush home to watch the Dream Team. 84 was my favorite Olympics but the Dream Team was definitely my favorite USA Team in 92!

Not a fan of podcasts that pauses mid episode for commercials. Really not a fan of podcasts that pauses multiple times an episode for ads. Tough to stay engaged. Content is good otherwise.

Great podcast! Loved it!!! Brought me some memories!

I really enjoyed this podcast series except for one thing that made it almost unbearable to listen too, the aweful recorded interviews from the players. It would have been much easier to listen to without these because the quality is so low and if your volume is loud enough to hear it them, a...Read full review »

The greatest team ever (in all sports) ! I was 14 years old in 1992 and remember how incredible it was to have such players together. Magic, Larry and Michael! I recommend this podcast to know this story from heaven !

The ads make this podcast feel like it’s just a cash cow with minimal love for the content. I almost unsubscribe every new podcast. The only reason I haven’t is that it’s a limited series.

This takes me back. With all the clips behind the scenes I feel like I’m back in high school. I hate I missed the book, so glad I found the podcast. I eagerly anticipate each new drop. I’ve never tuned into a weekly podcast like I have this one. The interviews with Chuck and Larry are truly...Read full review »

This is more of a running ad dump than a podcast. Way too hard to listen to. I’m so disappointed.

Love the content - hate the ads. Jack is a great writer and narrator. I have been a Larry fan forever and can’t get enough of his comments and insight. Lot of humor here.

Jack does a nice job here. I like his use of first hand interviews and recordings. It’s a solid podcast.

A very good overview of the Dream Team! It’s a fantastic listen and easy to follow. Well done!

From what I understand, Jack McCallum is a legendary journalist. This podcast is not his finest hour. He had some good material to work with here, but the podcast leaves a lot to be desired. He’s not as funny as he thinks he is and he’s way too self-involved. Why do all the anecdotes involve...Read full review »

Cool podcast but the seemingly 50% advertisements really kills the flow
fotees via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/11/20
The journalist had access to the athletes but couldn't seem to come up with interesting stories instead droning on with his opinions before an endless assault of ads. It's a great subject but surely there is someone who can cover it & give insight to greatest team of all time...Read full review »

25 minute podcast, six minutes of audio, 12 minutes of poor audio, seven minutes of ads.
Y2Bane via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/11/20
I mean, I get it. You need ad revenue. This pod is only about 30 mins per episode though and at least 30% is ads including a huge ad dump at the end. Is this just a cash grab? Feels like it.
Tremolay via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/10/20
Meh
It’s about 40% ads, 60% basketball. Of that 60%, at least half is completely irrelevant commentary that has nothing to do with the dream team. There are some interesting nuggets here and there, but overall it leaves you thinking that there could be so much more.
thompsondn via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/09/20
This is Jack reading an essay. IMO this is behind the times. Good podcasts engages you. It’s either a good conversation or great story telling. This is neither. I like Jack too.
ajv808 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/09/20
For the love of everything decent, could you have hired someone to mix the audio better? Most of the player interviews sound like Charlie Brown’s teacher. Frustrating.
JBLeaside via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 06/08/20
Like others said, commercial heavy. A 25 minute podcast, should not have over 7 minutes of ads. Kills any flow this podcast has. Nice stories but the book would be better and less painstaking without ads.

To many adds and to much talking about what’s in the next episode.

Not sure the percentage but for a 30 minute podcast this is nothing but commercials. Nothing new discussed that the doc or even his book didn’t cover. Sad bc I love all of his books

Stick to the facts and leave the pathetic impressions out, the Bill Walton one is especially irritating and gives the impression that you are disparaging him.

Great stuff. A Monday evening must listen. Jack does a fantastic job of telling the complete story. Love the content. A gym rat’s dream.

Why didn’t jack put this out before. I feel like jack capitalize on the last dance and MJ name which is sad. Why keep this 10 years and put out now. I used to like jack and thought he had integrity, but to me this seems like a hit job on MJ which very disappointing. I was so excited about these...Read full review »

There is no doubt this will interest sports enthusiasts who remember the Olympic Dream Team. Narrated by a real insider who did his due diligence by interviewing all the players. The timing of release during “The Last Dance” had to be no coincidence.
