“As someone who didn’t know much about the Theranos debacle going in, this podcast was informative about the overall characters and narrative. I binged the entire series in an afternoon and was thoroughly intrigued until about the third to last episode. Something jumped out at me and my intrigue quickly turned into a healthy dose of skepticism. It was mentioned casually that there were plenty of MD’s and PHD’s that worked at Theranos. Why weren’t any of them included on the podcast? I have to think their experience would/could have been quite valuable to the story. Giving the production team a healthy dose of the benefit of the doubt that they were contacted for comment but not a one was willing to comment?? And then the childhood “friend”, that she is no longer in contact with and wasn’t even close to in school, is a legitimate judge of Holmes’ character and actions??? We all grow and change/mature from childhood to adulthood and the woman didn’t even have a close relationship Holmes! As others have mentioned; it seems the ones willing to comment on the situation all have an ax to grind. The guy in the last episode, who ran into Holmes when out to dinner with his wife, just wanted an apology, an admition of guilt from Holmes. He obviously thinks she’s guilty and was used to further the ‘case’ this podcast was trying to prove. Not super great investigative work, in my opinion, but it did whet my appetite to learn more on my own about Theranos & Elizabeth Holmes.”
