This is because as preppers we love to read and talk about bugging out, we probably know 20 ways to start a fire, and the new trinkets and gadgets fascinate us. This however shouldn’t be a barometer for how important a preparedness topic is in a real-life scenario. For most of us bugging out is a last resort option, yet you can find 100 articles on the internet about how bugging out will save your life. Done correctly, you can minimize the amount you spend on prepping by focusing on what’s important. The 80/20 rule: 20% of what you do or buy gives you 80% of the needed results. This basically means that we can get better results by focusing on the 20% than wasting all our time on the 80%. With all the different aspects of prepping It’s extremely easy to get sidetracked.
