“Usually The Economist provides well written, well researched, and objective reporting. Their recent story on capital punishment -- the death penalty -- was a marked departure from that approach. Seems that they took the copy straight from Amnesty International's script.
Not that Amnesty International itself is wrong in what they advocate, but a reporter's job is to avoid allowing personal or political points of view interfer with the reporting. Sadly, this did not occur. I am dropping my subscription and I urge you not to subscribe.”Read full review »
