Economist still a Remainer?
The Economist still seems to believe that UK ‘is paying the price’ for leaving the EU. Why is this? Surely a liberal free market supporting paper would not think that EU policy formed by a largely unelected commission with protectionism at its heart was a positive force for good in the world. If its supra national direction had proper democracy at its centre perhaps it could claim legitimacy. So next time you explain comparative data such as regional growth rates lets not blame Brexit as if its obvious it is why something is currently negative. Some evidence might be useful.
