Empowered in Color is dedicated to helping people of color thrive in both business and in life.
The core of Empowered in Color is positive representation. As a society we are just now discovering the importance and power of positive representation, and we want to do the same when it comes to work. We want you to see other people working in different industries making a name for themselves and doing great things, and we want you to be reminded that it is possible for you too.
Empowered in Color strives to be a place to find people you can support or purchase products/services from marginalized groups. It strives to be a place where you can connect or collaborate with someone who looks like you. It strives to be a place where you can come into a community and not be "othered" for being who you are. It strives to celebrate the diversity and creativity of the people around us.

One year after the murder of George Floyd, support for the Black Lives Matter movement and police reform has gone down especially from white folks, and many companies haven't done much change internally to make significant strides towards true Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI).

Honest and empowering
I stumbled upon this podcast while searching for insight regarding finances so I happened to start on episode 9. I was so impressed with the relatable and immersive tone Kriselle exemplifies throughout the series that I had to check out the rest of her episodes. Even if you aren’t a person of color I’d recommend this podcast to anyone seeking insight self empowerment.
Fabulous and Groundbreaking
Kriselle speaks to everyone, not just people of color. She shares her own experiences as well as those of other poc entrepreneurs to empower us. Great for anyone who cares about social justice.
Empowering your financial decisions too!
Tuned into Episode 9 and learned a lot about money mindset and applying Dave Ramsey’s Baby Steps. Interesting idea to keep certain cards alive by charging a small recurring costs and how to live more on cash and less on credit. Looking forward to more personal finance episodes in the future!
