Narcissist holds audience hostage in inner monologue
Might as well be the name of the show. Chris frequently overtalks his much more accomplished and interesting and HUMBLE guests. An especially cringey moment that showcased his overweaning ego occurred during the Janja Garnbret episode introduced Janja, saying that he was able to control his nervousness prior to interviewing her by reminding himself that the only difference between them was just that he was an outdoors climber and she was an indoors climber. Hard eye-roll here. Really, Chris? It didn't strike you that the major difference was that she was a world class climber with much harder outdoor sends than you have ever attempted? Basically, this is a man in love with himself who exhaustively brags about his climbing feats which are pretty mediocre compared to his guests, but due to his finding climbing prior to the much-griped about age of the gym, constantly demeans younger generations instead of recognizing their contributions to progressing the sport. Painful listen. He gets great guests, but they're held hostage too.Read full review »

Awesome job! Keep it up! Just listened to 6 episodes on my flight. The quality of the recordings are great for not having a studio.
