The Karen Read Trial: The Jury Takes A Trip To 34 Fairview Road (5/6/24)
As the Karen Read trial continues to sizzle, the Jury decided that they needed to take a field trip to the scene of the crime so that they could have get a first hand look at where Mr. Okeefe's body was found.
While it's not a common practice for a jury to visit a crime scene, it's certainly not unheard of. We saw the same thing in the Alex Murdaugh trial recently, and several others in the past, such as the OJ trial.
So, why would a jury want to visit a crime scene?
A jury might want to visit a crime scene for several reasons:
Better Understanding: Visiting the crime scene firsthand allows jurors to gain a deeper understanding of the events that occurred. They can see the physical layout, distances involved, lighting conditions, and other factors that might not be fully conveyed through testimony or photographs.Context: Being at the crime scene provides context for the evidence presented during the trial. Jurors can see how various pieces of evidence fit into the overall narrative of the case.Assessment of Witness Testimony: Jurors can evaluate the credibility of witness testimony by comparing it to their observations of the crime scene. This can help them determine whether a witness's account aligns with the physical evidence and conditions at the scene.Immediacy: Visiting the crime scene allows jurors to experience the environment in real-time, which can have a more significant impact than simply hearing descriptions or viewing photographs in the courtroom.Emotional Impact: Seeing the crime scene firsthand can evoke emotions in jurors, which may influence their perception of the case. This emotional connection can make the evidence more relatable and memorable.Verification of Evidence: Jurors can verify the accuracy of evidence presented in court by comparing it to their observations at the crime scene. Former Epstein Lawyer David Schoen Stands Firm In His Belief That Epstein Didn't Kill Himself (5/6/24)
Nicholas Tartaglione is a former police officer who gained notoriety due to his involvement in a high-profile criminal case. He was arrested in December 2016 and faced charges related to the alleged murder of four men in a drug-related conspiracy in 2016. Tartaglione was also accused of involvement in cocaine distribution.
Before his legal troubles, Tartaglione served as a police officer in New York. However, his arrest and subsequent legal proceedings drew significant attention, especially given the severity of the charges against him and his previous occupation in law enforcement. The case garnered media coverage due to its complexities and Tartaglione's background.
While he was incarcerated at MCC, he was put in a cell with Jeffrey Epstein. What happened in that cell when Epstein allegedly attempted suicide the first time? According to Tartaglione he is the hero. Jeffrey Epstein was singing a different tune though.

One of the favored places for people like Epstein to park their money is in high end art. There is a lot of privacy in the industry and the people who are facilitating these deals for the most part only care about the bottom line. It is a match made in heaven. Until it isn't.

Jeffrey Epstein had extensive ties to the academic community. His reach spanned across the country when it came to donating to professors.
From the deserts of Arizona to the Pacific Coast and everywhere in between, proffesors and universities accepted his patronage.

Show had potential but since the host constantly goes beyond reporting and driveling his opinion on people he talks about as fact I tend to think he is a spoiled brat and jealous because he didn’t get to ride on The Lolita Express.
