“Some of the information is helpful but it is not actually following what the stated topic is or what I tuned in to hear. There is also this undercurrent of ego that is rubbing me the wrong way.
For example when someone says “not everyone likes to hear this but…” it’s connoting that you are better than others because you’ve deemed what they or society like or don’t like - and that you have “awakened” to more understanding than others.
None of this is enlightened or neutral. - So with that in mind - here was todays and my last straw. “Not everyone likes to hear this…., everything in life happens for a reason.” Umm first - most people do like to hear that.
It’s a shift from personal accountability to some grand plan in the universe. So actually most people do. It also connotes that there’s a silver lining to horrific events which is not always the case, and it’s connoting that there’s a meaning to suffering and we have no power.
Second - you were discussing a book that SPECIFICALLY says there are probable universes and dimensions of reality for every single possible thought and outcome. And that they are in OUR control. If anything says things DONT happen for a reason - it’s the book this particular episode was based on.
I know this sounds harsh and “people don’t like to hear this” but maybe examine your motives around saying that phrase and the need to project that idea of “everything happening for a reason” onto a book and philosophy that says otherwise.
Thank you for the gems of personal stories. Some were lovely and helpful. But sorry this is contradictory and egotistical.”
