Dangerous information
I was very excited for this podcast my first episode was #419. I listened and was horrified. HORRIFIED!!! I am a meteorologist and your examples of a heavy rain threat and flash flooding you encountered have me terrified for what you are teaching others. In these instances you absolutely ignore what experts in the field teach you because you “think you will be fine”. Yes you were but so many people experience these same things and are not. More people die in flash floods every year than any other weather event because the “think they will be fine” staying in an area the can be prone to flash flooding if the r heavy rain hits just right (you know that can happen in area where the rain doesn’t hit that spot, especially in the Southwest) or in a flooded roadway. Crossing a flash flooded road that looks “sketch” but you saw someone else do it. You know the road can wash out and take you with it any ANYTIME!!! Many cars get swept away every year doing exactly what you did. This is how people die….every year!!!!!! I am glad you were on but you are teaching people risky behavior and to not trust experts. If someone listens to this podcast and follows your actions bc they listened to their own frame in a situation they do not fully understand and get hurt, hurt someone else or die….it on you. I was looking forward to a new podcast but this episode made me feel like you have no idea what you are talking about. Stay in your lane.
