Easy listening but tough to stomach, clunky
Dont get me wrong, I love learning about the history of exploration. However, the host glosses over the absolute terror wrought by these guys everywhere they went to the point of being historically inaccurate by omission. the hero worship is extremely corny and dated - “great man” stuff is the most boring take you could possibly have on a genuinely interesting subject. The writing is clunky at best. Eurocentric isn’t strong enough of a word.
