Sorry, it just doesn’t hold up.
Compared to Ezra Klein’s interview style and his level of research, the shift this podcast has undergone to “Vox Conversations” just isn’t maintaining the same standard. The conversational nature means we’ve lost the intentional probing and guiding Ezra brought to the dialogues, so as a listener it no longer feels like there’s a lesson in it for me if I tune it. It just feels like listening in on a radio show where someone’s promoting a book and the host is meant to gush about the content rather than delve any deeper.

The long interview format works really well here. I look forward to hearing more.

Vox, perhaps. Vox populi, no.
