How slowing down allows her to catch mistakes more quickly, and pivot in business, and stay focused on her mission
How she has taken a softer approach to self-care, and cultivating joy and self-love

Abby Landers: a career in interior design & the power of great mentors

Welcome back to The Feminine Profiles Podcast! Today, I am chatting with Abby Landers. Abby is an interior designer and is lucky to call interior design legends like Kathryn Ireland a mentor and Kathy Marshall her boss. Abby graduated with her Master’s in Interior Architecture from The Boston Architectural College in 2021. After working in the design field for five years she decided to grow her own business and A.L Design was born.

    Today we cover:

her intro to interior design & how a seed was planted on a design trip with Kathryn Ireland after graduating high school

imposter syndrome starting out in this industry

getting her first client and not being afraid to start small to start with friends & family

what schooling is necessary (if it even is!) for interior design, interior architecture, and interior decorating

leading with intuition and a natural curiosity

her desire to make interior design approachable for those in their 20s, 30s, and for those who don’t know where to begin

Welcome back to The Feminine Profiles Podcast! I’m very excited to share my conversation with Kristen Caissie of Moon Canyon Healing. Kristen is an herbalist and somatic practitioner who weaves these modalities together into a holistic Earth-centered healing practice. I hope you enjoy! -Brooke

    Today, we touch on:

honoring the call to connect more deeply to the earth, to her own healing cycles, and to the plants — and the career pivot that was required to make this change
the decision to enroll in herbalism school and a somatic therapy program
overcoming wounding in order to feel safe to share her work — building trust and granting herself permission for her own channel and medicine to come forth
the transformations that unfolded from the support of a community — the potency of group work
how trusting her voice is now second-nature—the trust in her inner voice and channel is so enforced but there are still places in her body where old belief systems live
learning both from the direct relationship and experience with the plants but also through the textbooks — the wisdom is where the body, heart, and mind meet
her deepest prayer for her clients is that we get to be in our own expression—each person carries a specific medicine for the earth
    ‘fixing’ vs. healing
