Makes me see films in a new light
My favorite eps are the ones where I’ve seen the movie and the pod makes me see it in a new light—“The Autopsy of Jane Doe” episode with Louise Blain is straight up a masterpiece. The podcasters are generally a little younger than I am too so even when they cover something I personally don’t have a lot of patience for, like a Ryan Murphy show, it’s still worth learning about what they take from it. (Although sometimes there’s a funny frisson when a no-nonsense critic like Kang comes up against a movie like The Love Witch.)

As a format, it’s great, and Anna is a good host. The guests, however, are a mixed bag. One of the worst offenders is Leila Latif, a guest who seems to believe that every other word should be “like”.

This is a great podcast and so interesting to hear perspectives that are often missed on other horror podcast. Special shoutout to the Horror Oscars episode 👏👏👏
