Unrest Creating Unease for The Biden Campaign

Unrest Creating Unease for The Biden Campaign

President Biden finds himself between a rock and a hard place as he maneuvers showing support for Israel while still appeasing young Democratic voters who have aligned with the Palestinian cause. With protests continuing on college campuses, numerous universities have canceled graduation ceremonies out of fear of anti-Israel demonstrations interrupting the events. Politico White House and Washington reporter Daniel Lippman joins the Rundown to discuss how these protests are impacting President Biden's re-election campaign and how the administration is reacting to young voters. Later, CEO of Schoen-Cooperman Research, Carly Cooperman, joins to talk about what the polling shows for Democrats and addresses the funding for college protests.
Navigating adulthood is a difficult feat for anyone. However, it is especially hard for those in their twenties. For most, one's twenties are a transitional decade where they make massive decisions about where to live, who to love, and what career to dive into. Yet these days, the pressure to have everything figured out by age thirty is exacerbated by inflation, a tough job market, and general uncertainty many are still struggling with after the pandemic. Dr. Meg Jay, bestselling author and psychologist, joins FOX's Dana Perino on the Rundown to discuss her new book The Twentysomething Treatment: A Revolutionary Remedy For An Uncertain Age and the difficulties of working through such a defining decade.
Plus, commentary from former U.S. Senator and U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa, Scott Brown.

Evening Edition: Hamas Claims To Have Agreed To A Ceasefire Framework, What Was Really In The Deal?

Evening Edition: Hamas Claims To Have Agreed To A Ceasefire Framework, What Was Really In The Deal?

Hamas, the terrorist group in a statement Monday, claims they have agreed to a cease-fire agreement framework with Israel that was negotiated by Egypt and Qatar. The White House and State Department could not confirm the agreement and Israel did not immediately share their stance on the possible deal. Meanwhile, the Israeli military is urging Palestinians to leave the southern city of Rafah, the seemingly last Hamas stronghold, before an expected incursion there.

FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Richard Goldberg, Senior Advisor at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and former Director for Countering Iranian Weapons of Mass Destruction for the White House National Security Council, who says the media needs to be more careful when passing along statements by Hamas.

The House Takes Action On Anti-Semitism & Probes College Funding

The House Takes Action On Anti-Semitism & Probes College Funding

Weeks-long protests continue on some college campuses, even after many administrations worked to remove encampments set up by anti-Israel protesters. House Republicans have begun a probe investigating federal funding to universities amid the strife. Congressman Mike Lawler (R-NY-17) joins the Rundown to discuss the passage of the Antisemitism Awareness Act, the need to investigate the funding of the anti-Israel protests and weighs in on Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene's attempt to vacate House Speaker Mike Johnson.

According to the Centers For Disease Control, about one in four Americans report they suffer from seasonal allergies. And if you're one of those unlucky folks, you may feel like your symptoms are getting worse. That's because there is more pollen in the air than in past years. Allergist and spokesperson for the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, Dr. Tania Elliot joins the Rundown to share ways people can manage their symptoms with new treatments and explain why spring allergies are starting much earlier than prior years.

Plus, commentary from former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.

From Washington: What Trump-Era Tax Policy Expiring Means For Your Wallet

From Washington: What Trump-Era Tax Policy Expiring Means For Your Wallet

Taxes could soon start looking different for many Americans -- as former President Trump's 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is set to expire in 2025. President Biden has stated his plans to let the act remain expired if he's still in office at the time, while former President Trump would likely reinstate the act, alongside other Trump-era policies. Former President Trump economic adviser Steve Moore and Chief Economist at Moody's Analytics Mark Zandi break down what the effects of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act expiring could be.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is urging her colleagues to decide to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) from his position. Next week, she and Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) plan to initiate a long-threatened motion to vacate the resolution, setting up yet another vote to send the Speaker packing his bags. Unlike the previous success at removing former Congressman Kevin McCarthy, this move by Rep. Greene is expected to fail – lacking support from both Democrats and Republicans alike. FOX News Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram provides his insight from Capitol Hill.

Extra: Should Menthol Cigarettes Be Banned?

Extra: Should Menthol Cigarettes Be Banned?

The Biden administration said they will delay their proposed menthol cigarette ban until after the 2024 election. The Food and Drug Administration has attempted to ban the product several times before; however, increased pressure from Big Tobacco and certain members of Congress has delayed the move in the past.
Research shows that Black Americans prefer menthol cigarettes to regular ones, and many feel that a ban will hurt the community.
Former Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams joined FOX News Rundown host Dave Anthony days after the announcement to weigh in on the debate over banning the flavored cigarette.
Dr. Adams, who favors the ban, explained why menthol cigarettes are much harder to quit than regular ones, why minority groups prefer them, and why young Americans gravitate toward e-cigarettes.
The segment that aired this week on the regular weekday version of the Rundown only included a small portion of the interview.
On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire interview with Former Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams, and not just learn more about the menthol debate, but also look back at the country’s reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic and how he feels politics negatively impacts health policy.

Great Podcast

Love your podcast and I really enjoy the brevity of getting the news in short and concise matters. One suggestion I might offer, however—-it may not be a good idea to only have a Spanish-speaking only advertisement right after a story on immigration problems. Just saying! otherwise great job!!

Great in depth reporting, know what’s going on!

My only issue is with the extra, it might be longer, but feels like the same thing. Maybe just leave the whole thing for the weekend or don’t make it too long. Keep up the good work paying no mind to negative listeners who are no longer listening.
