I have only listened to one episode (Harry Potter). This will be on the top of my podcast queue. Currently listening to first Penny dreadful episode!

Frankenpod dives deep into the gothic literature you know and the super obscure stuff you've never even heard of. Every episode, I learn so much about gothicliterature. It's fun, it's informative, and it's great.Read full review »

Yes, gothic is more than just Mary Shelley (but she’s wonderful too, of course). Join Morgan and Brent as they chat about the the more macabre side of films, television, and literature, from classic to contemporary, offering historical context and witty comments along the way. I especially love...Read full review »

I love any kind of dissection of a genre, particularly a podcast that breaks down why scary things are scary. This podcast has some VERY intelligent conversations about Victorian literature and its influence in today’s media. It’s great!

One thing that really works with the podcast is intersectionality of topics and research in miniepisode format. Easy to process while explaining a topic in a different light. A fun POV into the gothic horror that transferred the lit world. (And the women of Frankenstein episode is fantastic!)

So far, I’ve listened to the pilot episode and “Desperately Seeking Watson” and I am in love with this podcast! I love their individual perspectives as well as the merging of the novel and the cinematic/TV version. Great job to both of you! Happy to make your acquaintance!

This is a wonderful, delicious podcast concentrating on the gothic genre in Literature and Cinema in a nice classical perspective. There’s no shouting, loud noises, or crass. Just simple an intellectual conversation about goth. Take a minute to listen and you will agree.
