Really one of my favourite gaming podcasts. Listening to gamers talk critically but enthusiastically and happily about a wide range of games is consistently exciting and delightful. LOTS of inspiration for games I wanna run here, as well as great ideas to steal for games I’m already running.

The hosts of this RPG podcast are the bees knees. They are smart, funny, and really care about playing games. And they actually play the games they talk about, with their listeners too!

My favorite podcast community. This is the flagship podcast which has a rotating cast of hosts, all of which I've come to love closely. They cover the RPG hobby, specifically from the perspective of small press and indie RPGs, so you get an amazing spread of games, opinions, and in-depth...Read full review »

The greatest gaming podcast to expand your gaming world. They love "trad" classic RPGs, and they love experimental and new games too. Best of all, they have the intelligence and experience to explain why various games are great. The hosts all have quick wits, great voices and smart things to...Read full review »

This podcast has introduced me to so many new ways of thinking about role-playing games to so many fascinating designers.

The Gauntlet delivers informative, diverse and fun discussions on a ton of new, mostly narrative, RPGs. And it is the "flagship" of the super active and welcoming Gauntlet Community. If you are somewhat interested in Indie and Story Games you should definitely check out their site.

By far my favorite format for RPG podcasts - reviews almost solely on RPGs they've actually played at the table with lots of interesting talk and tidbits along the way.

The Gauntlet Podcast has come from humble beginnings as a group of friends into one of the premier podcasts about storygaming. Notable contributors from all walks have appeard on the show and assisted the cast with providing insightful analysis and colorful commentary about both the community...Read full review »

The Gauntlet is in lots of ways more than a podcast. Sure, every week Jason and the crew talk about game experiences and tackle mechanical questions in really intensely practiced ways, but the meat of the Gauntlet is that they game. They game so much. While tons of discussion podcasts hit on a...Read full review »

There's not many podcasts that focus on indie tabletop games. These guys are knowledable about the indie scene, funny to hear and have good chemistry. They integrate great contests into the shows and just seem like genuine people.

The Gauntlet is full of inspiring, engaging discussion about roleplaying games. The focus is on people’s experiences playing games, and there’s tons of insights about how to get the most from your game, both as a player and as a GM. Mostly about indie games, but there’s the odd sprinkle of OSR...Read full review »

Lots of good information, reviews, experiences, and recommendations about tabletop RPGs, particularly those Powered by the Apocalypse, but also plenty of others. I find The Gauntlet’s format much more engaging than a lot of other RPG podcasts - a lot of variety, no actual play stories (which are...Read full review »

As one of the only roleplaying podcasts I listen to regularly, the Gauntlet succeeds because of a couple of great choices made in their presentation. First, they only talk about games they actually have played, often soon after they have played them. Second, though they talk about how their...Read full review »

I have been listening to podcasts since 2004 and have tuned in to at least a few episodes of virtually every podcast covering role-playing games since that time. The Gauntlet is one of the rare truly “great ones.” It reminds me of the golden era when shows like Sons of Kryos and Have Games Will...Read full review »

A One Stop Shop for all things Indie RPG, Story Game, and the occaisional board/card game. Hosts mix the technical with the personal and the humorous, and you never finish an episode without having had a laugh and discovered something new.

The Gauntlet is an excellent resource for learning about Story Games, Indie Roleplaying games, with some Old School Renaissance rpg thrown in for good measure. It is funny, entertaining and focused mainly on the play experience of these games. The Gauntlet is also the most active and dynamic...Read full review »

This podcast not only got me listening to podcasts again on a regular basis, but actually rejuvenated my ailing interest in rpgs. The Gauntlet podcast as well as its sister cast Discern Realities really is something I look forward to each week. Do yourselves a favour and start listening!

The gauntlet is just a solid, informative, intelligent, fun gaming podcast. It leans towards storygames, which is great for us gamers who have that bent, because D&D podcasts are dime'a dozen. And it has great production value as well, it is well edited and doesn't seem like an amature...Read full review »

This podcast has some of the best discussion about RPGs available right now. The sound quality is great, the topics are interesting, and the scope is both broad and deep. I really couldn't ask for more out of a podcast about my most loved hobby.

You don’t have to listen to every episode twice (like I have) to get to know the fantastic gaming community of The Gauntlet and where their passions lie in tabletop gaming (or sexy, hairless werewolves [see episodes 1 through current]). Stick around for a balance of banter, analysis, and reviews...Read full review »

I have been a podcast listener since … well since there were podcasts. I have particularly listened to at least one or two episodes of every RPG podcast that ever hit this “series of tubes” we call the Internet. This podcast has helped me to GM the games I'm running better, reconnect with friends, and has exposed me to Story Games I hadn't heard of before. These guys play a huge variety of games so they've experienced just about everything out there. They are not afraid to be honest about their opinions and can back them up. It's a good place to hear about a game you didn't know you needed to play.
