“I appreciate ESPN 92.9 providing Geoff’s weekday radio show in podcast form for Memphis sports fans who live outside their broadcast area or who otherwise can’t listen to the show.
Geoff and his producer Jeffrey consistently produce a terrifically entertaining show covering Memphis sports, both college & professional. Geoff is and author lead sports columnist for Memphis’ Commercial Appeal newspaper and one of the best storytellers around.
One of the things I like best about this show is the chemistry between Geoff & Jeffrey; their different perspectives (Geoff is a more traditional sports fan while Jeffrey brings a younger point of view) make the show dynamic and appealing to a wide range of sports fans.
There are plenty of great regular guests like Dan Devine & Steve White, but my favorite is their daily 901 at 10:01 with Commercial Appeal columnist Chris Herrington. In addition to being a very astute analyst of NBA Basketball, Chris has his finger on the cultural pulse of Memphis and keeps this former-Memphian up-to-date.
So, if you like Memphis sports, or sports in general, and appreciate reasoned and intelligent analysis along with great storytelling, you’ll want to check this podcast out.”
